Camping Trip!

This past weekend, we went camping at Lake Casitas with our homeschooling co-op. It was such a great weekend, full of dirt, very little sleep, and great memories. I have quite a few pictures, but it takes so long to upload them, that I will just pick a few. Friday, we arrived and enjoyed the playground just across from our campsite. We were right next to friends on either side, so the kids were off and running right away. We also took a little boat ride, and the kids took turns "driving" the boat. We enjoyed hanging out and talking around the campfire after the kids went to sleep. We didn't sleep much (nor did anyone really close to us besides the Nichols!!! He, he) because Ezra and Noah decided they liked waking up and screaming more than sleeping. =) We made it okay, though. Saturday, we had tickets to the water park! The kids really enjoyed it, and we spent a good few hours there. Then, we relaxed until it was time to go to the community potluck dinner. Except for the bees who were quite persistent about joining us, we had a wonderful time with everyone there. They had a campfire with singing that night, but we didn't attend because we already had two asleep, and two on the way. So, we just sat around our own little campfire (and made smores!!) Sunday morning, we went to breakfast at the cafe, and then headed back for a little time of worship with the other families. It was a great way to end our time together. We made some great new friends, and immensely enjoyed our time with the friends we already had. All around, it was probably one of my favorite camping trips.
