Well, going organic can get very costly, especially on certain items. So, we just can't afford to do everything. In fact, we have significantly cut down on the amount of meat we are eating, just because it is very expensive, even the hormone free instead of completely organic. But, we seem to be getting along just fine, and it feels good to have good food in our home.
So, last night's dinner:
Artichokes+Stuffed Mushrooms+Tomato, Basil, and Mozzarella Salad=Happy Husband. Yeah!

what did the kids eat? I'm impressed if they eat that, unfortunately I don't think I would :-(, but I'm sure it was delicious.
Yummy! I don't know how you do it?!!
OOOOoooh. . . That sounds really, really good. I wish you were here to show me all your healthy tricks.
Wow! You go girl!
Well, the kids aren't big on mushrooms, at least Emma is not. But they each tried a bite, Emma didn't like them, Caleb did. But, they LOVE artichokes, they each ate a whole one, and then they both love the salad I make with the tomato, basil, and mozarella. So, yeah, they ate it too. But the best part was that hubby was so happy...that is my favorite thing about cooking. When someone's eyes get so big, because they are so excited to eat, and they have this look on their face like, "You did this for me?"
Just jumping over from Amber's blog, I am enjoying your posts! I have not read through everything so sorry if you have already written about this guide: http://www.foodnews.org/walletguide.php It lists the amounts of pesticides in different fruits and veggies so if you need to plan your shopping budget you can know which are more important to spend the extra money on. Oh, and this dinner looks great! :) Although my kids generally just use artichoke leaves to eat the dipping sauce!
